Skate and Classic Clinics are designed for Nordic skiers with experience. If you are a beginner, we recommend a group or private lesson.

All Next Level Clinics begin promptly at noon. Please arrive by no later than 11:45 a.m.

Yoga, initially, is about integrating the anatomical movements of a yoga pose into a subtle form of effortless effort, divine simplicity and inner radiance. In this mini workshop, we will deconstruct Nordic skiing and introduce awareness, postures and action sequences which can help perfect optimal movement, steadiness and endurance.

The workshop will be held in the Asana Room located on the second floor of the Ore Bucket Center, across Maroon Ave from the 4-way parking lot. Yoga mats, blankets and other props are supplied. Wear or bring work-out clothes to change into.

Taught by Jim Withey, 500hrs Yoga Teacher Training. Must pre-register by March 10 at 5 P.M.

Explore the wonderful world of climbing on your skis with efficiency in a fun and supportive environment. Session designed for Intermediate level skate skiers and beyond.

The 15th annual Vail Recreation District Krueger Family Shamrock Shuffle short and long races and the kids' fun run will celebrate all things green in the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day! Taking place on the Vail Nordic Center trails, the event includes two race categories - snowshoes and running (with or without traction devices). The race will be followed immediately by a lively post-race party in the Gore Range Room at the Vail Golf & Nordic Clubhouse. 

Legend has it that Ben Krueger hid some a pot of gold when building the Vail Golf Course in the 1960s. He never disclosed the location to his family because he wanted it to be for the community to find! If you're lucky enough to find it and bring it back to the race finish, you could win a great prize from one of our sponsors!

We will look at the three planes of motion in skate skiing and how the small things affect performance and ski speed. Starting without skis we will explore movement patterns for-aft, up-down, and left-right, then experiment with V2 and V1 techniques to find the sweet spots for improvement.
