Nordic Skiing in the Heart of the San Juan Mountains

Durango Nordic Center offers a welcoming, scenic environment for cross-country skiers and snowshoers of every age and skill level. With 25 km of groomed Nordic trails and 8 km of snowshoe trails, our winter trail system winds through stunning mountain terrain designed for learning, training, and pure enjoyment. As a community-driven nonprofit, the Durango Nordic Ski Club is dedicated to connecting skiers, stewarding the local landscape, and growing Nordic skiing throughout Southwest Colorado.

Lessons

The Durango Nordic Center offers lessons and clinics for all ages and levels, from never-evers to experienced skiers. Lessons and clinics run throughout the season!

Private Lesson Package

1 Person: $130 // 2 People: $240 // 3 People: $330 // 4 People: $400 // 5 People: $475 // 6 People: $540

Whether you’re brand new to cross-country skiing or looking to refine your technique, our 90-minute classic and skate lessons will get you moving with confidence. Taught by experienced instructors, lessons are offered daily and include a day pass and rental gear — everything you need to enjoy the trails.

2-Hour Classic or Skate Clinics

Rentals

We offer rental equipment for classic and skate cross-country skiing, as well as snowshoeing. Rentals are valid for the entire day and need to be returned before the center closes at 4pm. If this is your first time skiing, we recommend renting our waxless xc skis (for classic skiing) rather than skate skis.

Durango Nordic Ski Club is a non-profit 510(c)3 organization (EIN 84-1068223) formed in 1952, with a long history of volunteerism, community enthusiasm, and Olympic athletes. Pass sales, program registrations, and donations make our work possible.

Open daily during the ski season from 9am-4pm. Trails are groomed daily.
