The Grin & Bear It is Crested Butte’s oldest trail challenge. Historically presented as a sprint to Green Lake and back, this classic event has evolved to offer a 25k Loop competition while still maintaining the traditional 15k race.

The Run the Rockies Trail 5k, 10k, and half marathon will lead runners through the Frisco Peninsula trails with breathtaking views of Dillon Reservoir and the Ten Mile Range. This is a great course for a first time half-marathoner or runners looking for a fun course that offers single track and dirt road trails. Racers will start and finish at the Frisco Nordic Center.

The Grand Traverse Mountain Run is a point-to-point ultra marathon from Crested Butte to Aspen, Colorado. The course follows the route of the Grand Traverse Backcountry Ski race. Runners travel 40 miles across the Elk Mountains with over 6,000′ of elevation gain.

The Grand Traverse is operated as a fundraising event for Crested Butte Nordic, a 501(c)(3) recreational non-profit organization.
