Are you a longtime skate skier and/or racer? Do you feel like you’ve reached a plateau in your skate skiing? Come on out for a high-end tune-up! We will customize this clinic to meet the needs and wishes of the participants.

Skate and Classic Clinics are designed for Nordic skiers with experience. If you are a beginner, we recommend a group or private lesson.

All Next Level Clinics begin promptly at noon. Please arrive by no later than 11:45 a.m.

Classic skiing isn’t like walking! Come find out how to get onto one ski and ride the glide. We will work on the secrets behind hanging out on one ski, starting indoors and then moving outdoors on our skis for drills and practice. 

Taught by Siga Andrew, PT, Level 3 Nordic Instructor

Must pre-register by March 18 at 5 P.M. All participants must have a trail pass.

The Vail Nordic Town Series Races are put on by the Ski & Snowboard Club Vail. Skiers of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend! 

Day-of, on-site registration | $5 for 1K & 3K races, $10 for 5K and up.

Brats and chips will be provided. Bring a dish to share!

An extraordinary Colorado ski route! The Grand Traverse is a point-to-point ski race from Crested Butte to Aspen.  Racers travel 40 miles across the Elk Mountain range, climbing over 6,800 vertical feet. To ensure competitor safety, racers must have a partner, carry mandatory gear, and begin the race at midnight when avalanche hazard is decreased. The Grand Traverse is operated as a fundraising event for Crested Butte Nordic, a 501(c)(3) recreational non-profit organization.

The Grin & Bear It is Crested Butte’s oldest trail challenge. Historically presented as a sprint to Green Lake and back, this classic event has evolved to offer a 25k Loop competition while still maintaining the traditional 15k race.

Coming back for year two, we’re offering a 25k mountain bike race. The bike will be technical and difficult - a great training opportunity for the Summer Grand Traverse. 

Run the Rockies trail 10k and half marathon will lead runners through the Frisco Peninsula trails with breathtaking views of Dillon Reservoir and the Ten Mile Range. This is a great course for a first time half-marathoner or runner looking for a fun course that offers single track and dirt road trails.

The Grand Traverse Mountain Run is a point-to-point ultramarathon from Crested Butte to Aspen, Colorado. The course follows the route of the Grand Traverse Backcountry Ski race. Runners travel 40 miles across the Elk Mountains with over 6,000′ of elevation gain.

The Grand Traverse is operated as a fundraising event for Crested Butte Nordic, a 501(c)(3) recreational non-profit organization.

The Grand Traverse Mountain Bike is no ordinary mountain bike race. It is a point-to-point from Aspen to Crested Butte, Colorado. In total, bikers travel 40 miles across the Elk Mountains with over 6,800′ of elevation gain. The course starts with a 3000′ ascent up Aspen Mountain before continuing deep into the Elk Mountains. This mountain bike race is not for the faint of heart.
