Protect Wintering Wildlife by Respecting Seasonal Closures

Seasonal closures are a critical tool utilized by land managers to protect wildlife during the difficult winter months. These closures only work when they are respected by the public.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife has seasonal closures in place effective Dec. 1 for Bodo State Wildlife Area and Perins Peak State Wildlife Area. These closures are in place through April 30. These closures remain in place through April 30 regardless of trail conditions, as the closures are in place specifically to protect wildlife during a crucial time for their survival.
